Mifflin Farm
Zeller Preservation prepared the National Register nomination for the Mifflin Farm, recognizing its national significance for its role in the Underground Railroad. Constructed in the early nineteenth century, the stone farmhouse was owned by Jonathan and Susanna Mifflin, who provided shelter and assistance to freedom seekers as they traveled north. The nomination documented the property’s history, integrity, and importance within the broader network of Quakers and free Blacks working together in southcentral Pennsylvania to end slavery.
